Government-issued authentic age proof is required for senior citizens of 60 years and above. Valmiki is open for tourists from October till the arrival of monsoon season—every year. Valid mobile numbers are required for e-verification.

Online Safari Booking Valmiki Tiger Reserve

Welcome to Safari Booking to Valmiki National Park. Visitors can book Jeep Safari online for three different zones of the park namely Manguraha, Valmikinagar and Govardhana. All the procedures for safari booking are carried out according to the guidelines issued by the Forest Department of India. Kindly note that the safari zone, jeep driver and guide cannot be influenced as per visitors’ wishes, as they are under the control of forest officials. Tiger population and wildlife sightings are more or less the same in all the zones. There is an equal distribution of safari vehicles in all the zones and the automated computerized system appropriately manages all of these.

Jeep safari and zone are provided based on availability
Once the safari voucher is issued, the jeep safari amount is non-refundable /transferable and cancellable.
In case your safari is not booked due to reasons like technical error or non-availability of seat, we will refund the whole amount in your given bank account. The same would be communicated accordingly.
Officially registered guides can only join your excursions; please do not try to change the guide or naturalist
Jungle safari will remain closed every Tuesday at all the tourist centers of Valmiki Tiger Reserve.

Safari Zones Valmiki :-

Valmikinagar -
Valmikinagar, formerly known as Bhainsalotan, stands as the north-western entry point of the Reserve. Nestled along the southern bank of the Gandak River, it marks the confluence of the Narayani, Panchnad, and Sonaha rivers (Triveni). Valmikinagar boasts the Gandak Barrage and three ancient temples – Kouleswar, Jatashankar, and Nar Devi. The region is characterized by hilly terrain and intersecting rivulets.
Manguraha Zone -
Manguraha Zone serves as the eastern gateway to VTR, Located in the Bettiah District, renowned for its wildlife and picturesque grasslands. Noteworthy attractions include the Lalbhitiya sunset point, offering a stunning view of the three tiers of sal forest. The zone holds historical significance with landmarks like 'Bhitiharwa Gandhi Ashram' and the 'Rampurwa Ashoka Pillar.' Additionally, religious sites like Sofa Mandir and Sahodara Mandir add to their allure.
Govardhana -
Situated in the middle of the Reserve, Govardhana is a favored entry point for trekkers. The area features deep gorges and small waterfalls that captivate tourists. Notably, the grasslands host herbivores, and during Navaratra, thousands of pilgrims trek to the Someshwar peak, the highest point in Bihar, to offer prayers at the Someshwar Kalika Temple.

Advance Booking Procedure: For booking requests please provide us with the following details:-

The full name, age, and sex of each visitor as printed on the identity cards to be provided along with the confirmatory amount.
Preferred travelling date and Safari timing (Morning/Afternoon).
Specific ID card number of your (Voter ID, Aadhar No, Driving license No, etc).
Safari Entry fee paid in advance.
Jeep Safari & Canter Safari amounts are non refundable.
Please carry the same ID card submitted during the online booking.
Passport details are mandatory for making reservations for foreign tourists.
In case your safari is not booked due to reasons like technical error or non-availability of seat, we will refund the whole amount in your given bank account. The same would be communicated accordingly.

Valmiki Safari Important information:-

Visitors are required to obtain entry permits that are being issued online (by producing above mentioned documents)
The order of the Valmiki National Park Director will be final in this regard.
The entry permit belonging to you is not transferrable.
Official registered guides can only join your excursions, please do not try to change the guide or naturalist
Entry to the National Park is strictly prohibited after sunset
While doing jeep safari do not get down from the vehicle, it is not allowed
Avoid carrying pets while you on a holiday tour as no pets can be taken inside the CTR
All visitors to the Valmiki Tiger Reserve are abide by the rules and regulations of wildlife protection act. So please co-operate

Terms & Conditions for Online Jeep Safari Booking at Valmiki National Park:-

Jeep and Canter safari at Valmiki is conducted only two shifts – Morning and Evening daily
Morning safari is conducted from 06:00 AM to 10:00 AM and afternoon safari time is from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM
Visitors are required to send their ID proof number for safari booking purpose.
The number of visitors going on safari vehicle should not exceed the limit as they will be stopped at the entry gate
The tourists are held responsible for their own luggage during the safari, no safari driver or guide is liable for the same
